Summary/Objective:
The Pricing Manager supports the Director of Pricing by managing assigned pricing activities, maintaining pricing policies and procedures, and ensuring accurate customer and product pricing data. This role partners with leadership and sales teams to support effective pricing decisions, improve margin performance, and help maximize revenue and profitability. The Pricing Manager also ensures pricing information is accurate, optimized, and aligned with business objectives to support quote decision-making and sales execution.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop, implement, and manage pricing strategies across territories and customer segments to support competitiveness, customer value, and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer sell pricing in the ERP system and related databases.
  • Partner with branch leadership and sales teams to identify and implement margin expansion opportunities.
  • Oversee pricing execution to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve pricing and margin issues.
  • Collaborate with rebate and cost management teams to pursue profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate customer segmentation and buying behavior to recommend appropriate reclassifications.
  • Review and approve non-standard pricing requests in alignment with pricing guidelines and profitability goals.
  • Lead pricing process improvements from identification through successful implementation.
  • Manage and perform routine branch price reviews to identify trends, gaps, and corrective actions.
  • Provide formal and informal training on pricing, margin management, and related processes to applicable personnel.
  • Monitor price overrides and take corrective action as needed to support pricing discipline and margin objectives.

  • Strong experience in pricing management, pricing analysis, and optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and support others professionally.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with a focus on maintaining accurate customer pricing.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Electrical product knowledge preferred.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.

Travel:
A moderate amount (up to 20%) of travel out of the Houston area as well as overnight travel may be expected.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial distribution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
